Construction Management or commonly know as Construction Project Management is now a profession.

Under the roof of Project Management, construction project is considered to be a special project due to it’s complexity and broader project considerations, construction projects have consideration in terms of safety management, health management and environmental management.

Here are the construction extensions under project management.

1. Project Safety Management

is one of the extensions considered in project management for construction project, safety is usually combined with health management. Safety management processes are activities of the team and the project owner to determine safety policies and requirements to prevent injuries, accidents, fatalities and damage to properties.

2. Project Environmental Management

is another extension considered in project management for construction project .Environmental management processes are activities of the team and the project owner to determine environmental policies and requirements to prevent possible impact of the construction project to environment, to promote and achieve environment conservation and potential nature improvement.

Now a days, construction companies and government agencies have deeply concern about Health , Safety and Environmental factors . Other companies have sets of standards on these and they commonly combined in one plan , like EHS Plan(Environmental, Health and Safety Plan) , every construction projects you will handle with different location or geographical area will have a unique considerations in terms of safety, health and environmental , depending with the complexity and nature of the project .
